Build your professional identity in the startup ecosystem

A complete profile attracts co-founders, investors, and opportunities. This guide walks you through every section of your profile editor.

Accessing Profile Settings

  1. Log in to your StartupPage account

  2. Go to your Dashboard

  3. Click Profile to open the editor

From here you can customize your personal info, avatar, call-to-action, social links, and more.

Personal Information

These details appear prominently on your public profile.

  • Name (required, max 100 characters) - Your full name, e.g. "John Smith"

  • Location - City and country, e.g. "San Francisco, CA"

  • Tagline (Fixed) (max 200 characters) - A permanent descriptor, e.g. "Full-stack founder & investor"

  • Tagline (Rotating) ⭐ Starter Plan - Up to 3 rotating keywords that cycle on your profile, e.g. "building in public", "pre-seed", "open to connect". Upgrade to Starter

  • Bio (max 5000 characters) - Your professional summary

Click Save after each edit. Keep taglines short for visual impact.

Upload a professional image to make your profile stand out.

  • Drag & drop or click to upload (JPG, PNG, or WebP, max 2MB)

  • Auto-crops to square and resizes to 200x200px

  • Use a clear headshot for best recognition

Add a prominent button that drives connections directly from your profile.
Upgrade to Starter to unlock this feature.

  • Button Text (max 100 characters) - e.g. "Book a call", "Send your deck", "Let's connect"

  • Contact via - Enter your email so visitors can reach you directly

Social Links

Connect your professional networks for credibility.

  • Click the icons (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, GitHub, etc.) to add or edit URLs

  • Drag handles to reorder the icons

  • Choose where to display them: top, bottom, or sidebar

Tip: prioritize 3-5 active profiles and make sure all URLs are public.
